Veronica Tiernen (née O’Reilly)

Veronica’s family are saddened to share the news of her death with you. Veronica died peacefully at University College Hospital on Friday night, 23rd October 2026. Beloved wife of the late John. Predeceased also by her dearly loved sisters Rosemary and Eileen, brother John Joe, nephew David and brother-in-law Bertie McDonagh. Deeply missed by her sister-in-law Delma, nephews and nieces Peter, John, Michael, Paul, Miriam, Joan, Geraldine, Olivia, Patricia and Catriona. Lovingly remembered by their families, neighbours, carers and friends in particular Carmel, Mary-Teresa and Ted.

Veronica’s presence had a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She was always kind and gentle and will be fondly remembered by all.

Funeral Arrangements

Monday, 26th October 2026

There will be a brief gathering in St. Anthony’s Room within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra from 12 noon with Reposing up to 12.45 p.m. Requiem Mass to celebrate Veronica's life will commence at 1 p.m. Livestreaming link https://www.churchtv.ie/knocknacarra/ Private Cremation to follow. No flowers please.
