Veronica Crowley (née Hughes)

Formerly of Annaghbeg House, Ahascragh, Ballinasloe

In the early hours of Friday, 25th September 2026 Veronica died peacefully following a tough illness so bravely borne in the great care of the staff at the Galway Hospice and with her family by her side.

Predeceased by her precious grandson Eoin McGranaghan, brothers Tom, Noel, Pat and Jarlath and her parents Sal and Tommy. May they be reunited once again.

Deeply loved by her devoted husband Eoin, sister Myra, son Alan, daughters Melanie and Kierstin (Kiki) and their families whom she absolutely cherished dearly; her daughter-in-law Sinéad, sons-in-law Shea McNelis and Damien McGranaghan, grandchildren of whom she was immensely proud, Cara, Adam, Luke, Amy, Paddy, Ailbhe, Holly and Charlie, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Funeral arrangements:

Monday, 28th September 2026.

Veronica will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.

Tuesday, 29th September 2026.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Veronica at 11 a.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest in Moycullen cemetery, close to baby Eoin rip. The cemetery is located at the rear of the Church.

No Flowers please. Memorial donations will be very gratefully accepted by the Galway Hospice.

Bus Eireann – Bus no. 401 stops on Fr. Griffin Road

Parking - Street parking Fr. Griffin Road, Claddagh, Henry St., Sea Road, The Crescent, Dr. Colohan Road and Presentation Road.

Car parks in the area include the Bish, Spanish Arch, Claddagh Church and Mill Street.

There will be very few car spaces available if any, on Munster Avenue.
