Formerly of Waterford and Cork
On Friday, 22nd May 2026, peacefully after a long battle following a tragic accident, Stephen passed away at Galway University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kenya, Stephen spent his early childhood there, where he began his schooling before later moving to Ireland. He spent his younger years in Waterford and later Cork, where he continued his education and built many lifelong friendships.
Stephen was a passionate and active young man. He loved athletics and running, and also had a passion for boxing, having trained in the sport. He was a great fan of football, and music was a big part of his life, especially gospel and reggae, which brought him joy and comfort.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his heartbroken parents, mother Jacinta and father James, brothers John and George, sister Tabitha, the extended Wangari and Coleman families, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
Funeral Arrangements:
Friday, 29th May : A Funeral Service will be held for Stephen on arrival at St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, Galway at 11:30am. Following this, he will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.
