Funeral Notice
Formerly of Snipe Avenue, Newcastle and Canal Road
Retired lecturer in physics at RTC Galway/GMIT
Peadar died peacefully in his 90th year after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family in the compassionate care of Áras Chois Fharraige, An Spidéal.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Maura, his brothers John and Alan, and by his sisters Maura, Helen and Brigid.
Dearly loved father of Noreen, John (Seán) and Michael. Peadar is deeply mourned by his daughter and sons, son-in-law Charles O’Malley, daughters-in-law Maura and Sharon, his adored grandchildren Gráinne, Fionnuala, Tomás, Maura, Rachel, Daniel and John, brother Michael, sister-in-law Margaret, nephews, nieces and by his many wonderful neighbours, extended family and life-long friends.

Funeral Arrangements
Tuesday, 23rd June 2026
Peadar will lie in repose at ‘Aiséirí’, opposite the Church of the Immaculate Conception Moycullen, (H91 Y54A) from 6.00 p.m. with Removal at 7.30 p.m. to the Church.
Wednesday, 24th June 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Peadar at 12 noon. Following Mass Peadar will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Maura in the adjoining cemetery.
