Michael Connell

Michael passed away peacefully at University Hospital, Galway on Saturday 12th September in his 87th year with his daughter Sinéad lovingly by his side. Predeceased by his wife Marion and his parents Martin and Nora.

Michael will be sadly missed by his daughter Natasha, Lyndsey and Sinéad, his sisters and grandchildren Níamh, Lauren, Emma, Oisín, Gerard, Caoimhe and Cillian, sons-in-law Martin and Philip, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements

Tuesday, 15th September 2026

Michael will lie in repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, (H91V1K8) from 6.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

Wednesday 16th September 2026

Removal to St. Ignatius’s (Jesuit) Church (The Jes). Walking from the parlour at 10.40 a.m. approximately.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Michael at 11 a.m. and following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.
