On Saturday, 30th. May 2026, Maura passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, in the wonderful care of the staff of Blakemanor Nursing Home, Ballinderreen. Predeceased by her husband Joe, sisters Peggy and Nellie, granddaughter Margaret and brothers-in-law Kevin and Ben. She will be sadly, missed by her much loved and loving children Miriam, Deirdre, Kevin and Edmund, by her daughters-in-law Sheila and Gemma, by her adored and adoring grandchildren Joe, Hugh, Emily Kate and Cormac. Lovingly remembered and mourned also by her sisters Frances and Nora, brother-in-law Eamon and by her nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Monday, 1st June 2026
Maura will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91 V1K8) from 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Tuesday, 2nd June 2026
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Maura on arrival at the Jesuit Church Sea Road at 10 a.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Live streaming of the Mass is not available at this Church.

Parking Information at the funeral Parlour
Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street, Sea Road, The Crescent and Doctor Colohan Road.
Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street (which is adjacent to the Garda Station). There is limited space for the immediate members of Maura’s family within the grounds of the funeral parlour. Some space is reserved for guests with mobility needs.
