Funeral Notice

Formerly of Loughwell, Moycullen

Martin died very peacefully with family members by his side in the early hours of Friday, 31st July 2026 in the great care of the staff at Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Nora and Martin, brother Michael and sister-in-law Marie.

Martin is deeply mourned and will be missed by his much-loved wife Betty, sons Ryan and his daughter Sienna, Martin and his son Evan, sister Mary, daughter-in-law Inna, sister-in-law Ann Coyne and Mary’s partner Paddy.

Fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces, Grace, Lyndon, Dylan and Serena, by his cousins and the extended Coyne and Carty family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Tuesday, 4 August, 2026

Martin will lie in Repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 6.30 p.m.

Wednesday, 5 August 2026

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Martin’s life will take place at 11 a.m. and following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Moycullen cemetery located at the rear of Moycullen Parish Church. Live streaming link for Mass https://www.mcn.live/Cameras/christ-the-king-church-salthill

Parking and Car Park (CP) Information close to the funeral Parlour

Please approach the funeral parlour on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, Sea Road, The Crescent, Doctor Colohan Road and St. Mary's Road. There is usually no parking on Munster Avenue. Car Parks: The Cathedral, The Bish, The Claddagh Church , Spanish Arch , The Docks, all within 5-10 mins. walking distance. Please check each (CP), for closing times.
