Margaret Smyth (née McManus)
Funeral Notice
Formerly of Parnell Avenue, Old Mervue
It is with deep sadness that Margaret’s family share the news of her sudden death with you in the early hours of Saturday, 10 October 2026. Despite the great efforts made by the emergency services and by Margaret herself who fought to the end, it was not to be. She died surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her beloved parents Angela and Frank.
Deeply mourned by her husband Ciaran, children Cienna, Rachel, Lorcan and Aoife, sons-in-law Donal and Mike and Lorcan’s partner Louise, by her adored grandchildren Cian, Rory, Síofra and Caelan who were the apple of her eye and her little grandchild she was looking so forward to meeting. Sadly, missed and mourned also by her sister Ellen, brothers Jim, Michael, Frank, Kieran, David, Marcus and brother-in-law Gerard.
Margaret will also be fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces, by the extended Smyth, McManus and O’Halloran families, and her many friends.
"We didn't know today would be our last
Or that we'd have to say goodbye to you so fast
Only God knows why
We're just jealous of the angels
Around the throne tonight"
A true friend to all with so many qualities

No Flowers Please. Margaret was a wonderful supporter of local charity shops and the best memorial tribute you could make at this time is to support one of these shops in her memory.
