Jacinta Greaney (née Quinn)

Jacinta completed her life’s journey surrounded by her adoring family in the excellent care of the nursing staff at Galway University Hospital on Sunday 13th September 2026. Predeceased by her husband Michael, her brothers Cyril and John and by her parents.

Deeply loved and mourned by her heartbroken children Anthony, Sarah, Linda, Gina and Mike, daughter-in-law Stephanie, sons-in-law Noel, Micheal, Shane and Nayden, Grandchildren Jason, Daragh, Ciara, Kate, Michael, Orla, Charlie, Maria, Carla, Tom and Bobby, brothers and sisters Frankie, Clarrie, Marie, Owen, Ann, Fidelma, Grace, Olive, Arthur, Martin, Sandra, Gerry, Lucia, Assumpta, Joe and Concillio. Fondly remembered also by her many nephews and nieces, relatives, colleagues, neighbours and friends.

She died after an illness that limited her independence,

yet she never let it dim her warmth, charm, or wit.

Funeral Arrangements

Wednesday, 16th September 2026

Jacinta will lie in Repose at 'Sioraiocht'; within the grounds of the Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. There will not be a Removal into the Church this (Wednesday) evening.

Thursday, 17 th September 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Jacinta on arrival at the Church of the Assumption and St James, Claregalway at 10.30 a.m. Following Mass, she will be taken to Shannon Crematorium for a private Committal Service.
