Dolores Gillan (née McGrogan)

Lydican, Carnmore and Belfast

Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Predeceased by her beloved baby daughter Martha, parents Ann and Barney and by her brothers Bernard and Jim and Jim’s wife Anne.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her husband Tommy of 66 years, and by her children Mary, Ann, Noreen and Conor, her sons-in-law Greg and Gerard, daughter-in-law Kelly and her grandchildren who adored her: Eoghan, Caolán, Kate, Conor, Aaron, Seóna, Niamh, Áine, Maeve and Tomás, her siblings: Ann and Isabel, Eileen and husband Gerard, Patrick and wife Stella and Raymond and Bernard's wife Maureen, by the extended McGrogan and Gillan family, and her many friends.

Dolores will lie in Repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, (H91V1K8) from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Monday 17 August 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Dolores on arrival at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption and Saint James, Claregalway (H91YH05) Live-streaming link for Mass https://www.churchtv.ie/claregalway/ Private Cremation will follow in Shannon.
