Funeral Notice
Anthony passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home.
Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Patrick, brothers Michael, Seamus, Willie, Thomas and John, nephew Ivan and sisters-in-law Teresa and Mary.
Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his brother Patrick, sisters-in-law Marie and Floss, nephews and nieces, the extended Canavan family, neighbours and many friends.
May his gentle soul rest in peace
Funeral arrangements:
Thursday 20th August, 2026
Anthony will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
There will not be a Removal to the Church on Thursday evening.
Friday 21st August, 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Anthony at St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road on Arrival at 11.00 a.m.
Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.
Family flowers only please.
Donations in memory of Anthony will be greatly appreciated by the Galway Hospice Foundation.
