Ann Tobin (née O’Driscoll)

Formerly of Taylor’s Hill, Galway

Peacefully at Galway Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Kieran and much loved mother of Ross and Shane. Cherished mother-in-law of Evangelina and Samantha and grandmother of Dannielle, Shane, Alva, Liam and Michael. Predeceased by her husband Kieran and her parents, Jack and Mary O’Driscoll (Woodquay, Galway).

Ann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Funeral Arrangements

Thursday, 10th September 2026

Ann will Repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91 V1K8) from 10.30 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. Removal immediately afterwards to Shannon Crematorium, Co Clare for a private cremation ceremony. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Galway Hospice.

Ann’s family would particularly like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her close friends Mary and Maura for the extraordinary care, kindness and friendship they showed to Ann over the years.

Our deepest thanks also go to Orla and Claire, and all the doctors, nurses and staff at Galway Hospice for the exceptional kindness, compassion and care they showed to Ann and to her family during an extremely difficult time. Their support went far beyond anything we could have expected, and the family owes them an enduring debt of gratitude. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
